Dear Mr. Beattie:
Congratulations! We are pleased to announce New Jersey Citizen Action’s Political Action Committee has endorsed you for election to the New Jersey State Assembly. As the state’s largest citizen watchdog coalition, NJCA pays careful attention to the critical issues facing New Jerseyans around the state. Your leadership and principled positions on these issues make you a leader voters need to have in Trenton!
We are especially interested in your support of the Fair and Clean Elections Pilot Program, an innovative new law that will help to change the very nature of our system of campaign finance by eliminating the large private donations that have strained our system.
Additionally, your willingness to take a public stand denouncing President Bush’s plan to privatize Social Security system and throw it to the whim of the stock market sets you apart from others who failed to side with their constituents (and the majority of Americans) telling Congress and President Bush to keep their hands off Social Security.
The PAC was also impressed with your concern for affordable, quality health care for working families and seniors. We applaud your support for important initiatives that will expand prescription drug coverage and improve patients’ rights.
Your support for public education, lower utility rates, fair housing and Community Reinvestment while joining us in our campaigns for a cleaner more responsive State Government has earned you a strong endorsement from the PAC.
Your responses to our candidate questionnaire showed strong support for all of the major issues of concern to our members and the public at-large. That is why NJCA’s PAC believes that you have the experience and positions to achieve our common goals of decreasing the cost of living while increasing the quality of life in New Jersey.
We will be working to make sure voters in your district go to the polls and vote for you.
Sincerely,
| Phyllis Salowe-Kaye, |
Mitch Kahn, |
| Executive Director |
Chair, NJCA PAC |
